The Texas Reds Steak & Grape Festival has received numerous awards since it debuted in 2007. That year, the Texas Downtown Association named it the 2007 Best Promotional Event. In 2008, the Bryan-College Station Convention and Visitors Bureau presented Texas Reds with the Hometown Hero Award, which recognizes organizations that contribute to tourism by promoting downtown areas.
Cheers! Fans of sizzling steak, live music and, of course, terrific Texas wine will have much to enjoy, celebrate, and toast at the 10TH ANNUAL TEXAS REDS STEAK & GRAPE FESTIVAL in Historic Downtown Bryan. This year’s festival will feature over 30 Texas wineries, numerous craft beer breweries, more than 30 bands, talented artists, the annual steak cook-off, a Kids Zone, and a variety of food vendors. The Saturday night steak dinner, which was revived to great (and sold out) success last year, will return thanks to a partnership with J. Cody’s Steaks and Barbecue in Bryan. But that’s not all! A number of new elements are being added to the festival this year including a Thursday night kick-off dinner at Messina Hof Winery and Resort and a steak and egg brunch on Sunday at 11 AM.
Live music by Texas artists is a cornerstone of Texas Reds. To celebrate the tenth anniversary, officials confirm that festival favorite, Ray Wylie Hubbard{“Snake Farm,” “Screw You We’re From Texas”) will return for a performance on Saturday night. On Sunday afternoon Texas Reds welcomes Grammy Winner Rodney Crowell. A native of Crosby, Texas, Crowell is best-known for his numerous country music hits including “After All This Time” and “I Couldn’t Leave You If I Tried”. A full schedule of live music acts will be announced in the coming weeks,

*All wineries require reservations for groups of 8 or more guests.
Your ticket, valid throughout the entire month of October, includes a full complimentary tasting at each winery with a limit of 4 wineries a day and a 15% discount on 3 bottle purchases at each winery. All of these benefits for a ticket price of $70/couple or $40/individual.
The average tasting fee at the 51 participating wineries is $11/person…adding up to $44/person if visiting 4 wineries a day. And that’s just for ONE day! You have 31 days to visit 51 wineries. Your Texas Wine Month Trail ticket is already saving you money, not including the discounts on wine purchases! Why not jump in on this great deal!?!
The limit to 4 winery tastings a day with your ticket is a way for THCW to promote responsible drinking on the trails. We do hope you can take your time and enjoy each winery more this way, instead of rushing through tastings and getting to the next stop. This allows for a more intimate experience at each winery, enjoying the wines and the people.
Each ticket will include a Trail Tasting Passport to be picked up at your first winery (selected at time of ticket purchase). Each winery you visit will stamp your passport on the day you visit the winery and taste. Each day you can taste and get stamped at four wineries total. Couples tickets will receive 1 booklet but both will get the tastings.
October is also Breast Cancer Awareness Month! For the third year now, in support of this very important cause, $5 of each ticket sold for the Texas Wine Month Trail will be donated directly to Susan G Komen for the Cure. Help us contribute another $4,000+ this year! To donate directly to Susan G Komen please click here:http://www.komensanantonio.org/make-a-donation/donate-online/
An entire month of enjoying 51 wineries in the beautiful Texas Hill Country, tasting your favorite wines and getting exclusive discounts! This is too good of a deal to pass up, so make sure to get tickets for your whole family and all of your friends!
Your ticket includes:
• Full complementary tasting at each winery with a limit of 4 wineries a day (one tasting for individuals, two tastings for couples). Wine glasses are NOT included.
• A 15% discount on 3 bottle purchases at each winery (winery choice and/or discount may exclude reserves, ports and wines already discounted)
• A Tasting Passport that will be stamped at each winery you visit (you MUST pickup your passport first and present to each winery to receive tastings)
TEXAS WINE MONTH TRAIL TERMS AND DISCLOSURE:

Event Details
The Gruene Music & Wine Fest began as a one day event in 1987 with the purpose of promoting Texas and Americana music in a fun and relaxed setting while raising funds for the United Way of Comal County. Over the years, it has become a four day celebration not only of Texas and Americana music, but also a celebration of Texas, German and New World wines, specialty beer, food and handcrafted items.
The event continues to grow each year. In recent years, we have been able to expand the “Texas Tastings & Tunes” event on Saturday to include over 40 wine & food producers for tastings and ‘Le Cordon Gruene’ food alley. To further enhance Sunday’s “Texas-Style Musicfest”, we’ve added a Specialty Beer Tasting event, a second stage and the big game on a big screen TV’s. A Craft Market has also been added to both Saturday and Sunday events. In 2010, we added an entirely new “Not From Texas” kickoff event taking place on Thursday and featuring German and New World wines, live music and “Not From Texas” door prizes!
With 30+ wineries attending for a catch-all fee of $25 per person, you’re bound to have an amazing time! Click on the Tickets button below to buy in advance! See you there!
